My Subscription


What issue will my subscription start with?

When you subscribe, you will be sent an email confirmation containing important subscription information. This will include details of your first issue and when you can expect it to arrive.

All subscriptions start with the next available issue by default. If you would like to purchase the issue currently on sale when you order, you will need to order it separately.

When does my subscription expire?

You can find all your subscription information in your online account – just log in and click on “My Orders” to find your expiration date.

Where can I find my subscriber number?

Your subscriber number can be found by logging into your online account – click on “My Details”, and your subscriber number is listed next to Account Code. You can also find your subscriber number on any communications we have sent you about your subscription (such as an order confirmation or payment receipt).

How do I renew my subscription?

If you pay for your subscription by Direct Debit or continuous card payment, then your subscription will renew automatically.

If you have paid in another way, we will contact you before the expiry date of your subscription to ensure that your renewal is taken out in good time. If you wish to renew at any other time, you can do this by logging into your online account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us directly. Once you’ve cancelled, you will continue to receive the issues you have paid for until the end of your subscription term.

How do I access my subscriber benefits?

All the benefits that come with your subscription are listed in your online account. Simply log in and click on “My Subscriber Benefits” to access them.

Can I pause or skip issues in my subscription?

Unfortunately we do not currently offer this option.


Updating Information


How can I change my delivery address?

You can easily update your delivery details online. Just log into your online account and click on “My Details”.

How can I update or change my email address?

Please contact us directly to update your email address.

How can I update my email preferences?

We only want to send you the emails you’re interested in, so you can let us know your email preferences by updating your preference centre at the bottom of any email we send you. Simply opt in or out of the communications you would like to receive.

If you would like to stop receiving emails from us completely, you can click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.

If you are not receiving any emails from us and are not sure why, please contact us directly and we will be happy to help.




How will my order by confirmed?

If you order online, you will receive an email confirmation of your order immediately. If you have ordered a subscription, you will also receive an email containing important subscription information, including details of your first issue and when you can expect it to arrive.

Can I buy a subscription for somebody else?

Magazine subscriptions make the ideal gift for just about anybody! To give a magazine subscription as a gift, simply add it to your basket and provide us with the recipient’s delivery details.

Can I order from outside the UK?

Yes, we deliver worldwide. All magazines are printed and mailed from the UK, so the overall cost might be higher to account for overseas mailing costs. Please also note that delivery to anywhere outside of the UK will take longer, including subscription issues. To see the price for overseas orders, simply select your delivery region from the drop-down menu on the product page. All prices displayed include delivery, packaging, and taxes where applicable.

Do I get a free gift with my subscription?

Occasionally, we offer a free gift with a subscription. If you subscribe on a valid offer, the free gift will be sent out once payment has been taken, and you should receive it within 2 weeks of ordering. Your free gift will be sent separately from the magazine, and in some cases you might receive the magazine first. All gift offers are subject to availability and if stock runs out, an alternative gift may be supplied. Limited gift offers may be withdrawn at any time. If you are purchasing a subscription for someone else, the free gift will be sent to the person paying for the subscription. Free gift offers are only valid on UK orders and cannot be refunded.

How does a trial subscription work?

Trial offers are Direct Debit or continuous card payment offers that hold no obligation. If you wish to cancel your trial subscription, please contact us. Trial subscription offers are limited to one trial per magazine, per customer within a 12-month period. Anthem Publishing reserves the right to withdraw a limited offer at any time.

I want to subscribe, but I don't want to set up a recurring payment – can I make a one-off payment?

Yes, you can choose a one-off payment for a year's subscription here. Make sure you sign up to receive emails from us so you hear about other offers and promotions when they happen.

Only part of my order has arrived.

We sometimes send large orders out in multiple packages, so these may arrive at different times. Don’t worry, the rest of your order is most likely already on its way. Please refer to our expected delivery times if you think part of your order has been lost.

I can't find my order in my online account.

Your order should show up immediately in your online account, however on very rare occasions there may be a glitch that prevents this. If you cannot see your order in your account, first try logging out and back in again to reboot the system. If your order is still not showing 48 hours after placing your order, and you have not received an order confirmation email, please contact us and we will investigate this for you.




What if I find the magazine cheaper elsewhere?

We guarantee that you won’t find a better price for Anthem Publishing’s magazines anywhere else online. However, in the unlikely event that you do find a better price, we’ll refund you the difference. Just contact us with evidence of the better offer and we will process your refund claim.

Is the online payment system secure?

Yes, absolutely. We use SSL encryption software to ensure the details of your order and credit card, debit card, and bank account information is secure.

How can I view a receipt or invoice of my order?

You can view and download any invoices or receipts relating to your orders online. Just log into your online account and click on “My Documents”.

What is Direct Debit?

UK customers have the option to subscribe by Direct Debit, which requires you to provide your bank account number and sort code at time of ordering. Your payments will be spread into easy and manageable payments across the year – information on frequency of these payments will be detailed in the offer you choose. Direct Debit is a recurring payment method, and will renew automatically. You are in complete control of your subscription and protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.

What is a continuous card payment?

Customers sometimes have the option to subscribe by continuous card payments (also known as Continuous Payment Authority), which requires you to provide your card details at time of ordering. Your payments will be spread into easy and manageable payments across the year – information on frequency of these payments will be detailed in the offer you choose. Continuous card payment is a recurring payment method, and will renew automatically. However, if your card expires, you will need to contact us to update your credit/debit card information so that your subscription can continue uninterrupted.




How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Subscription orders:

The speed of delivery outside the UK can vary and will depend on the service provided by the various organisations used during transportation. Please allow extra time for your order to arrive after bank holidays, particularly around Christmas and New Year.

All subscriptions start by default with the next available issue, which is not yet published at time of purchase. Subscription issues are processed about 2 weeks before the on sale date, meaning if you subscribe after this you will instead receive the following issue as your first issue.

Vintage Rock is published 6 times a year, and so the maximum wait times for your first issue to arrive are:

UK: up to 10 weeks
Europe: up to 11 weeks
International: up to 16 weeks

After you’ve received your first issue, you can expect to receive your subsequent issues on or around the UK on sale date if you are in the UK. Should copies not arrive by this date, we kindly request that you wait the following time before contacting us for a replacement:

UK: 1 week after UK on sale date
Europe: 2 weeks after UK on sale date
International: 4 weeks after UK on sale date

Please note that overseas subscription copies will not arrive on the UK on sale date.

Single issue orders:

Please allow the following wait times for your order to arrive:

Europe: 2 weeks after order date
International: 4 weeks after order date

Any pre-orders are despatched on the UK on sale date and sent via our standard delivery service. If you have not received your order within the expected delivery time, please contact us and we will be happy to arrange a replacement copy.

What do I do if my order has not arrived?

What do I do if my order arrives damaged?

All our packaging is marked up with “Do Not Bend” messaging, but unfortunately sometimes parcels can still be mishandled by delivery officers. If you are seeing a consistent problem with your issues arriving damaged, we recommend getting in touch with your local delivery officer and asking them to handle your magazines more carefully.

All our magazines go through a thorough process of quality control during the print run, but very occasionally printing errors do occur. If you would just like to report a printing error, you can let us know and we will make sure it is fed back to the team.

If you find that your magazine is unusable for whatever reason, please contact us directly and we will be happy to arrange a replacement copy.

Are delivery costs included?

Yes, the prices you see are the prices you pay. Delivery is included in the price for all products and we do not add additional delivery costs during the checkout process.

Will I pay customs on my order?

We have taken as many precautions as possible to prevent our international customers from paying customs on their orders. If you have been charged a customs fee, please contact us so we can look into this further.

Can I track my order?

Unfortunately we do not currently send despatch notifications or offer delivery tracking. Please refer to our expected delivery times to give you an idea of when to expect your order to arrive.

Do I need to be in to sign for my order?

No, all orders are sent through normal post, and do not require a signature.


Paper and Production


What is Anthem Publishing doing to combat their environmental impact?

As a company, Anthem Publishing are extremely conscious of the environment, and we know that our readers are too. We are thrilled to be able to use paper wrap instead of poly wrap to support our planet and our environment.

As a sustainable source, we are happy to reassure you that the paper wrap your magazine comes in is 100% recyclable and fully accepted by waste systems with all Councils providing kerbside collection (UK). Anthem will be eliminating 250,000 plastic wraps per year from our subscription mailing as a result of this change.

If you order single issues from our shop, these may arrive in a grey polythene mailing bag. These bags are made from recycled materials, making it a low-cost and environmentally friendly option. The extremely lightweight material further promotes the protection of our planet as it means that more parcels can be loaded onto a single vehicle, hence economising that space and reducing the overall carbon footprint of the process.

The paper we use for all our magazines comes from responsibly managed forests and is FSC approved. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests.

Has the price of the magazine changed?

Unfortunately, due to a combination of reasons – including Brexit – paper and delivery costs have risen significantly across the board. This is the case not only for us, but for any company publishing printed products. To ensure that we keep bringing you the quality magazines and service you expect, we have increased our cover prices slightly to reflect this.

Do you reprint issues that have sold out?

We do not reprint or restock out of stock issues. If the issue you are looking for is out of stock, you can still purchase a digital edition.

You can find the upcoming on sale dates for our magazine here. All publication dates are subject to change. Once an issue is on sale, it can be ordered online for direct delivery to your home.

We hope you are entirely happy with your purchase but should you have a problem that has not been resolved to your satisfaction, we have not delivered to the standard of service you expect, or if we make a mistake, please contact us. We will investigate the situation and set about putting it right as quickly as possible, and where appropriate, we will take steps to avoid making similar mistakes in the future.
